Radicchio, Palla Rosso Mavrik

Radicchio forms lettuce-like heads wrapped with beautiful, purplish-red leaves and contrasting white veins. The distinctive, sharp flavor is a favorite in salads, but is also delicious steamed with mixed vegetables, used in cole slaw, or added to stir-fries. Cooking gives radicchio a milder flavor.
